The success of New Zealand wine label Maude lies in husband/wife team Sarah-Kate and Dan Dineen who met in their roles as winemakers/general managers at the prestigious Tower Estate and Tempus Two wineries in the Hunter Valley. This couple are seriously respected by wine industry insiders and together they have developed the Maude wine label amidst the stunning back drop of Lake Wanaka in Central Otago.

Central Otago produces some of the world’s most vibrantly fruited and intense pinot noirs, which means they can work well over the winter months. This plush, supple specimen is cut from a classic Otago cloth, with a lovely concentration on its ripe cherry fruit laced with liquorice spice.
2017 Maude Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from selected vineyards in the Wairau Valley. Pure and powerful this wine exhibits the classic gooseberry, passionfruit and lime peel aromas and flavours of great Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
This Pinot Gris combines fruit from premium sites in Central Otago, including our mature family owned vineyard in Wanaka, Mt Maude. Typical aromas of ripe pear, quince and brioche lead onto a rich textured palate where whole bunch pressing and partial barrel fermentation has created complexity.
This Chardonnay combines fruit from premium sites in Central Otago. A vibrant, complex Chardonnay with aromas of ripe stone fruit and poached pears combined with hints of biscuit from barrel maturation. A warm rich palate, great texture and power, yet finishes clean and crisp.
Maude Brut NV is created with the classic grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Hand harvested from our Central Otago vineyards, the base wine spans 9 years and blends together a remarkable 5 vintages. Beautifully rose gold in colour - aging on lees in bottle for at least 36 months delivers a wine rich in complexity where warm brioche flavours are layered with hints of apple blossom and citrus. The Maude NV Brut is an elegant aperitif style, perfect for any occasion.
Described by Michael Cooper in his Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wine as a "potential classic", he has awarded it 5 Stars, 5 years in a row, testament to its consistency and quality. The 2018 is a great successor to those that have come before it. From the very best parcels of Pinot Noir from our Estate on Felton Road, including 1991 planted vines, the 2018 is the definition of poise, elegance, freshness with a deep quality and massive length. Instantly appealing and immediately recognisable as a classic Terra Sancta Estate Rosé.
